A competition for the vagrant young fashion scene in Europe
createurope: THE FASHION ACADEMY AWARD
adds to the networking of creative people, creates public awareness, and stimulates new ideas. European fashion, and design schools, the Goethe Institute in the respective countries and the local cultural institutes as well as private partners will all be involved.

The creative industry is experiencing a noticeable upsurge at the moment. An innovative project from the European cultural institutions is using this momentum to start an international competition.

The young creative prize winners will be determined in two separate phases. In the first phase candidates from the participating countries will be chosen to present themselves in the second phase to a prominent international selection committee. The closing event will take place at the end of October in Berlin offering a platform for publicity.

National kick-off events, a visitors programme for directors of the involved schools, symposiums, etc, will accompany the project in the hope of achieving a network amongst the fashion creators that reaches beyond national borders.
